Public Policy Facilitating Committee Available in our office are handouts from a recent meeting of the Public Policy Facilitating Committee, which met on Friday, June 8, 2001, to discuss, disseminate information and take public comment on the implementation of Section 7 of the Federal Endangered Species Act as called for in.a Memorandum of Understanding with the U.S. • Army Corps.of Engineers, National Marine Fisheries Service, and the Sonoma County Water Agency. The handouts include (Dan agenda;,(2) Russian River Biological Assessment, Interim Report 5: ChanneiMaintenance, Executive Summary and Summary of Findings and Channel Maintenance Activities; and (3).Russian River Biological Assessment,.,Interim Report 6: Restoration and Conservation Actions, Executive Summary and Summary of Findings. Public Power 101 Available in our office is an informational booklet.entitled Public Power 101 authored by James Burchill,&:Associates,.Inc. This booklet offers an overview of public power (electrical) in the U.S.,and California; an industry overview covering federal, municipal, state and public power;public power models; and more. This material was provided at the recent Mayors'/Managers' meeting as part of a presentation by Mr. Burchill: The Mayors authorized the City Managers to study and recommend alternatives towards the formation of a Joint Powers Authority among the cities and county. 3. Sidewalk Hours for'Assemblymember Joe Nation S Assemblymember--Joe Nation will be conducting rescheduled "sidewalk hours" on Saturday, June 30`h from 11:30 AM— 12:30 PM in front of Aram's on Kentucky Street. The original date was scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, June 23rd.
