Introduced By Councilman Seconded By Councilman Lynn Woolsey Brian Sobel AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1072 N.C.S. , BY RECLASSIFYING AND REZONING APPROXIMATELY 32.4 ACRES KNOWN AS PETALUMA AUTO PLAZA, LOCATED GENERALLY BETWEEN US 101, CORONA ROAD, INDUSTRIAL AVENUE, AND PETALUMA BOULEVARD NORTH (AP NO.'s 007-412-48, 49, 50, 51, 52 and 150-020-5, 7, 10 and 22) BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PETALUMA AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City Council finds that the Planning Commission filed with the ity ouncil on December 5, 1988, its report as set forth in its minutes of November 8, 1988, recommending the adoption of an amendment to Zoning Ordinance No. 1072 N.C.S. , by reclassifying and rezoning certain lands being more particularly described below from Rancho Arroyo Planned Community District/Floodplain Combining (PCD/FP-C) to Petaluma Auto Plaza Planned Community District/Floodplain Combining (PCD/FP-C): Sonoma County Assessor's Parcel No's 007-412-48, 49, 50, 51, 52 and 150-020-5, 7, 10 and 22 . Section 2. The City Council further finds that said Planning Commission held a public hearing on said proposed amendment to Zoning Ordinance No. 1072 N.C.S., on November 5, 1988 after giving notice of said hearings in the manner, for the period and in the form required by said Ordinance No. 1072 N.C.S. and received further testimony on November 22, 1988. Section 3. Pursuant to the provisions of Zoning Ordinance No. 1072 N.C.S., the City Council finds that the proposed development is in general conformity with thee' General Plan land use designations of Thoroughfare Commercial and Special Commercial applied to the project site. Section. 4. The City Council finds that the requirements of the California Environmental" Quality Act Guidelines have been satisfied and hereby incorporates'y~by reference the Mitigated Negative Declaration issued by the City Council on December 5, 1988. Section 5. Pursuant to the provisions of Zoning Ordinance No. 1072 N.C.S. , and based upon the evidence it has received, and in accordance with the findings made, the City Council hereby adopts an amendment to said Zoning Ordinance No. 1072 N.C.S. , so as to reclassify and rezone said property hereinbefore referred to in accordance with the recommendation of the Planning Commission. i ~ ~ - Section 6. The City Clerk is hereby directed to post/publish this Ordinance for the period and in the manner required by the City Charter.
