INTRODUCED BY SECONDED BY Larry Tencer Lynn Woolsey AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF AN INTEREST IN REAL PROPERTY CONSTITUTING A STORM DRAIN EASEMENT WHICH IS A PORTION OF SONOMA COUNTY A.P. NO. 6-071-06, WHICH IS LOCATED AT 700 WEST STREET, PETALUMA AND DECLARING ITS URGENCY TO TAKE EFFECT IMMEDIATELY BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Petaluma as follows: Section 1. The interest in real property described on Exhibit A hereto is authorized to be purchased from the owner of the property Vena Jenkins for the sum of $5,000.00. The City Manager is authroized to execute all documents necessary for the acquisition of the herein described property interest. Section 2. This ordinance is hereby declared to be necessary for the immediate preservation of the public, health and safety and shall take effect and be enforced upon. its passage by a unanimous vote by the members of the City Council present at the time of its adoption. The reason for the urgency of this ordinance is that the rainy season is upon us and work on the storm drain needs to proceed immediately. Section 3. The City Clerk be, and she is hereby directed to post/publish this ordinance for the period and in the manner required by the City Charter. Introduced and ordered posted/published this 5~ day t of December, 1988. Adopted this 5th day of December, 1988, by the following vote. Jenkins .property LAW14 Ord. 1745 NCS E EXHIBIT "A" .PROPERTY DESCRIPTION A Storm Drain Easement, including but not limited to the right to clean, repair and maintain certain storm drainage pipes, and appurtenances on, over and across that certain real property situated in the City of Petaluma, County of Sonoma, State of California, and more particularly described as follows Commencing at a point which marks the intersection of the Northerly line of West Street with the Easterly line of Laurel Street; thence along the Northerly line of West Street, South 75° 00' East, 223.4 feet to a spike; thence continuing along the Northerly line of West Street, North 67° 21' East, 162..87 feet, to the true point of beginning; thence leaving said line of West Street, North 4°45' East, 232.51 feet; thence North 74° 51' West, 10.17 feet; thence South 4° 45' West, 239.53 feet; thence North 67° 21' East, 11.26 feet to the point of beginning. ex . a , Jenkins LAW14
