Page 1 of 2 Resolution No. 2026-026 N.C.S. of the City of Petaluma, California RESOLUTION ACCEPTING COMPLETION OF THE TEMPORARY FIRE STATION PROJECT (C11502435) AT 307 PETALUMA BOULEVARD SOUTH AND THE FIRE STATION NO. 2 ONSITE ASPHALT PAVING PROJECT (C11501911) TO ARNTZ BUILDERS INC. AND AUTHORIZING RELEASE OF RETENTION WHEREAS, on July 7 2025, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 2025-090 N.C.S. awarding a construction contract to Arntz Builders Inc. in the amount of $2,558,425 for the Temporary Fire Station Project (C11502435) and the Fire Station No. 2 Onsite Asphalt Paving Project (C11501911); and WHEREAS, the contract work has been completed in accordance with the plans and specifications, to the satisfaction of the Public Works Department and The Petaluma Fire Department; and WHEREAS, Contract Change Order No. 01 was issued to reconcile scope modifications and final measured quantities, resulting in a net decrease of $3,112; and WHEREAS, the final Contract Amount for the project is $2,555,313.00; and WHEREAS, the combined projects were completed without use of construction contingency funds and were delivered within the approved project budget. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Petaluma as follows: 1. Finds that the Recitals set forth above are true and correct and are incorporated herein by reference. 2. Accepts the Temporary Fire Station Project (C11502435) and Fire Station No. 2 Onsite Asphalt Paving Project (C11501911) as complete. 3. Authorizes the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion with the Sonoma County Recorder’s Office. 4. Authorizes the City Manager, or designee, to release retention in accordance with Public Contract Code Section 7107 following expiration of the statutory lien period and confirmation that all contract requirements have been satisfied. 5. Finds that this action has already been evaluated for compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) when the project was awarded and was found to be exempt from CEQA pursuant to Class 1, Class, 3, Class 4, and Class 32.
