A,rington prive stated that: the. water rate increase was is implemented, ahead of schedule.,. 'The Council's: Transportation Priority ,list that 19 was' sent to the Sonoma County Transportation Authority did not have a 20 soundwall listed on it. She received a letter from Caltrans stating that the SCTA 21 is the authority that will be buildin. g all sound walls from now on. It is her 22 understanding that: .a soundwall from Washington Street to Lynch Creek has z3 been left off of every project list because of costs. 24 2s There is water being diverted from a public roadway onto private property along 26 the back of 60 homes on Arlington Drive. Ms. Scott: stated. that :neighbors would 27 volunteer 'to give the city .part of their backyards if the city would build a 2s soundwall on private property. 29 3o Vice Mayor Caller-Thompson stated .that it was her understanding when 31 Highway 101 'is .widened a soundwall would be 'installed .adjacent to Stuart Drive 32 on the east and.west side of the freeway.. On August 22, 20Q1 there is a scoping 33 meeting for Highway 101 between Petaluma and Novato:,., to be. held at 5:30 p.m. 34 at the Petaluma Community Center, 320 N.'Mcpowell'Boulevard. 35 36 Bill iPhillips, 824 Blossom Court, commented on City Council Priorities dated 37 March 18, 2000., under .Implementation of Plaris with regard to Park and 3g Recreation Fields:. The Magnolia Park site. would offer a transverse mountain 39 climbing: wall facility. The park would feature. a nature walk, natural. plants, 4o walking paths and pool'that would. serve both county and city .residents 41 42 Beth `Meredith;. 104 5t" Street,, spoke regarding the videotaping of Council 43 Workshops. 44 4s Terrence. Garvey, 83 Maria Drive spoke regarding Gravel Mining in the Russian 46 River. Meeting scheduled to 4o discuss "funding for, Street Repair, Sidewalk, Multi=year' Capital Facilities and, 41 possible Bond Measures for'the March or November-2002. ballof. 42 43 Bryant Moynihan"would like to:see:fhe city conduct a.cornmunity survey with 44 regards to the issue of street repairs:.. 4s July 21, 2001 Vol. 36, Page 317 i Pamela Torliatt, would like to hold a public meeting inviting the Chamber of 2 Commerce and the community, to identify and prioritize the streets and roads that 3 need repaired, and figure out how much. those repairs are going to cost. This 4 needs to be a community based Measure and not sponsored by the City Council or s Chamber of Commerce.
