PUBLIC.COMMENT
David Glass; 41 Oxford., spoke regarding the Campaign Finance Ordinance. He
does not feel ~we should fund campaign fundraisers for Congressman from out of
state so we can get back from the government what this community needs. He
would be in favor of limiting and capping the amount of contributions and lower the
amount of contribution before it's declared to_ the public where the money came
from. The Ninety-nine dollar contributions create an unlevel playing field that the
public is not: aware of. He would take out City Hall's financial participation in the
Campaign Finance Ordinance, but he would leave in the disclosure requirements.
Geoff Cartwright, 56 Rocca Drive., spoke regarding contracts for water supply, flood
control, sanitation etc., held by the Sonoma County Water Agency for lobbyists. He
suggests that Council contact the agency and make sure that you as a water
contractor are informed of the regulations-that they are pursuing.
