Introduced by Councilman Vice Mayor Tencer Seconded by Councilman Michael Davis AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. .1072 N.C.S. , AS AMENDED, BY RECLASSIFYING AND PREZONING 019-201-07 and 019-193-38 THROUGH 44. KING/ADAMS BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Petaluma as follows: Section 1. The City Council finds that the Planning Commission filed with the City Council on May 4, 1987, its report as set forth in its minutes of February 10, 1987 and April 14, 1987, recommending the adoption of amendments to Zoning Ordinance No. 1072 N.C.S. , as amended, by reclassifying and rezoning certain lands being more particularly described as Assessor's Parcel Number 019-201-07 and 019-193-38 through 44 to R-1, 10, 000 square feet. Section 2. The City Council further finds that said Planning Commission held public hearings on said proposed amendments to Zoning Ordinance No. 1072 N.C.S. , as amended, on February 10, 1987 and April 14, 1987 after giving notice of said hearing in the manner, for the period and in the form required by said Ordinance No. 1072 N.C.S., as amended. Section 3. Pursuant to the provisions of Zoning Ordinance No. 1072 N.C.S., as amended, the City Council finds the proposed prezoning to be in general conformity with the Petaluma General Plan and further finds the following : ORD. 1685- NCS 1. The prezoning is in the best interest of the City of Petaluma. 2. The prezoning shall not constitute an expansion of the existing Sphere of Influence or water service boundary line. 3. That the proposed prezoning is in general conformity with the Petaluma General Plan. 4. That the public necessity, convenience and general welfare require or clearly permit the adoption of the proposed prezoning. Section 4. Pursuant to the provisions of Zoning Ordinance No. 1072 N.C.S. , as amended, and based upon the evidence it has received and in accordance with the findings made, the City Co uncil hereby adopts amendment to said Zoning Ordinance N o. 1072 N.C.S. so as to reclassify and rezone said property h ereinbefo re referred to in accordance with the recommendation of the Planning Commission. Section 5. The City Council finds that the requirements of California Environmental Quality Act Guidelines, Section 15083 have been satisfied and hereby incorporates by reference the Negative Declarations prepared and approved for the proposed prezoning. Section 6. The City Clerk is hereby directed to post this Ordinance for the period and in the manner required by the City Charter. INTRODUCED and ordered posted this 4th day of rxav 1987.
