HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 1652A N.C.S. 05/05/1986~ ~ INTRODUCED BY Lawrence Tencer MAY 51986 ORDINANCE NO. 1652A N.C.S: SECONDED BY Lynn Woolsey 2 AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING CERTAIN AVAILABLE REVENUES NOT INCLUDED IN THE 1985-86 BUDGET AND DECLARING THE URGENCY THEREOF, TO TAKE EFFECT IMMEDIATELY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PETALUMA AS: FOLLOWS Section 1. Pursuant to Charter Section 60, there is hereby appropriated for the usual and ordinary expenses of the City from July 1, 1985, until June ~ 30, 1986, the amounts set out in the attached Exhibit A are incorporated herein by reference, which amounts are from reserves and revenues not appropriated in the 1985-86 budget of the City of Petaluma. Section 2. The City Council hereby finds and determines that the amount of appropriations provided hereby does not exceed the estimated revenue and other available funds for the City for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1986. Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Section 4. This ordinance is hereby declared to be necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, and safety of the City of Petaluma, and shall take effect anal be in force from and after its final passage by a unanimous vote of the members of the City Council present at the time of its adoption. The reason for the urgency is so that the work authorized to be accomplished hereby may be properly scheduled and spaced over the coming year to furnish the City the ordinary running expenses of the City and particularly those relating to the protection of the public peace, health, and safety from and after its passage.
