AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO.
1072 N.C.S. BY REZONING ASSESSOR'S PARCEL NUMBER
007-063-12 KNOWN AS THE LOT AT 214 PAYRAN STREET
LOCATED IN THE VICINITY OF EAST WASHINGTON STREET
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Petaluma as follows:
SECTION 1. That the City Council finds that the Planning Commission
filed with the City Council on May 6, 1985, its report as set forth in its
minutes of March 12, 1985 (File No. 3, 337) , recommending the adoption of
an amendment to Zoning Ordinance No. 1072 N. C. S,. by reclassifying and
rezoning Assessor's Parcel Number 007-063-12 from RC - Compact Single
Family Residential District to CH -Highway Commercial District.
SECTION 2. The City Council further finds that said Planning Commission
held a public hearing on said proposed amendment to Zoning Ordinance No.
1072 N.C.S. on March 12, 1985, after having given notice of said hearing
in the manner, for the period and in the form required by said Ordinance
No. 1072 N.C.S.
SECTION 3. That pursuant to the provisions of Zoning Ordinance No.
1072 N, C . 5. , the City Council finds that the proposed amendment is in
general conformity with the Petaluma General Plan and its Environmental
Design Plan Element, and further, that the public interest, convenience and
general welfare will be furthered by the proposed amendment.
SECTION 4. The City Council finds that the requirements of California
Environmental Quality Act Guidelines Section 15083 have been satisfied and
hereby incorporates by reference the Negative Declaration approved by
Resolution No. 85-132 N.C.S..
SECTION 5. That pursuant to the provisions of Zoning Ordinance No.
1072 N.C.S. , and based upon the evidence it has received and in
Ord No. 1619 N.C.S.
accordance with the findings made, the City Council hereby adopts an
amendment to said Zoning Ordinance No. 1072 N.C.S. , so as to reclassify
and rezone said property hereinbefore referred to in accordance with the
recommendation of the Planning Commission.
SECTION 6. The City Clerk is hereby directed to post this ordinance for
the period and in the manner required by the City Charter.
