44 parcels were weighted at $75 per parcel and townhomes were weighted at $49
45 per parcel. There were 76 single-family ballots in favor of the assessment update
46 and 30 townhome parcels in favor: 48 single-family ballots against the assessment
47 update and 23 townhome ballots against, totalling $4,802 against and $7,170 in
48 favor. As there was not a majority vote against the assessment update, Council
49 could now take action to adopt resolutions approving the tabulation and levying
50 the assessment update.

4 Vice Mayor Renee opened the PUBLIC HEARING.

6 Ryan Nickelson, Regency Centers, gave an update on the tenant leases, and
7 expressed the tenants' interest in having freeway facing signage.
8
9 Mike Powers, McNellis Partners, owners of Plaza South, explained that the current
10 language in the ordinance would require the shopping center to fully reconstruct
11 the rear facade of their building, which would be an economic burden.
12
13 Steven Farley, Petaluma, expressed his concern with the freeway area becoming
14 one sign after another, like many other cities.
15
16 Paul Werbaneth, Petaluma, expressed his objections to the freeway facing
17 signage, and hopes the Council will stand by the Planning Commission's decision.
