HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 2005-040 N.C.S. 03/21/2005 ~Zesolution No. 2005-040 N.C.S. of the City of Petaluma, California REMOVING NON-PARTICIPATING MEMBERS OF THE .ANIMAL SERVICES ADVISORY COMMITTEE AND TREE ADVISORY COMMITTEE AND DECLARING VACANCIES ON THOSE BODIES WHEREAS, Section 2.80.040 of the Petaluma Municipal Code allows that members of the Tree Advisory Committee who fail to attend five consecutive meetings of that body may be removed from that body by vote of the City Council, and Council may then appoint a qualified citizen to complete the term; and, WHEREAS, Resolution 2004-209 N.C.S. provides the same process for members of the Animal Advisory Committee who fail to attend at least three consecutive meetings of that body; and, WHEREAS, Skyler Timko, a member of the Animal Services Advisory Committee, and James Meyer, a member of the Tree Advisory Committee, have failed to attend at least five and three consecutive meetings of those bodies, respectively. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council does declare the offices held by Skyler Timko and James Meyer vacant. Under the power and authority conferred upon this Council by the Charter of said City.
