HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 2005-026 N.C.S. 02/23/2005 Resolution No. 2005-026 N.C.S. of the City of Petaluma, California RESOLUTION OF THE PETALUMA CITY C®UNCIL RESCINDING RESOLUTION 2005-012 N.C.S. AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE FRANCHISE AGREEMENT TERMS WITH EMPIRE WASTE MANAGEMENT WHEREAS, the Petaluma City Council adopted Resolution 2005-012 N.C.S., selecting NorCal Waste Systems, Inc. as the preferred contractor and authorizing the City Manager to complete Franchise Agreement negotiations, and, WHEREAS, the Petaluma City Council, through motion on February 7, 2005, voted to reconsider said action; and, WHEREAS, on February 23, 2005, the Petaluma City Council heard additional information discussed, and deliberated on the issues. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Petaluma City Council authorizes the City Manager to negotiate Franchise Agreement terms with Empire Waste Management at a 60% diversion rate and return to the Petaluma City Council for a decision.on a Franchise Agreement. Under the power and authority conferred upon this Council by the Charter of said City.
