9 MOMENT OF SILENCE
to PUBLIC COMMENT
11 Jack Balshaw advised that he has seen a large number of individuals driving through "Red" stop
lz lights lately. He noted this has occurred most particularly at McDowell and Washington. The area of
13 McDowell Blvd. at the Plaza South he suggested there is a need for more definitive striping, because
14 drivers going both directions utilize that center lane and one day there will be a head-on collision.
is Regarding Washington Street between Lakeville and the Freeway the signalization is in need of fine
16 tuning on the cross street side. Often traffic is stopped on Washington Street for absolutely no cross-
17 traffic. When the City installs the traffic signal at Petaluma Blvd. and B Streets, he hopes there is no
is loss of parking.
19 COUNCIL COMMENT
20 Brian Sobel -thanked the people of the community for allowing him to serve them, he thanked the
zl City Manager and staff with whom he has worked over these last few years. He went on to
22 compliment the "City family" for all their dedication. He thanked the media for their coverage of
z3 municipal government, and he especially thanked his family for their support.
2a He urged the new Council to think a lot about consensus, and secondly to think about tolerance. We
2s need to enjoy the process; and it is important to work as friends.
z6 Ross Parkerson thanked the Council for the opportunity work with them. He has enjoyed every
2~ meeting. It gave him a chance to benefit from all his years of experience. He "echoed" the
