BACKGROUND Al its June 4, 2012, July 2, 2012, and October 15, 2012 Regular Meetings, the City Council made appointments to fill vacancies on the City's Commissions, and Committees. Two vacancies remain at this time: the July 18, 2012 resignation of Dan Lyke created a vacancy on the Technology Advisory Committee to complete a two-year term expiring June 30, 2013. On August 28, 2012, Ken Foster resigned from the Youth Commission, creating a vacancy to complete his two-year term (adult member) expiring June 30, 2014. DISCUSSION The attached "Get Involved" flyer was distributed at City Hall, the Petaluma Community Center, and the Petaluma Library, and through the City's Listserve system. The deadline for applications was Monday, October 29, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. The City Clerk's Office received one application to fill the vacancy on the Technology Advisory Committee, and two applications to fill the vacancy for an adult member on the Youth Commission.
