Vice Mayor Davis discussed the possibility of developing a major affordable housing
project by using modular construction. The Councilmembers supported the
suggestion and indicated they feel the Corona=Ely area as a possible location for this
type of subdivision; although, there was some concern about this type of project
having a negative impact on the Corona-Ely Financing Plan. It was also suggested
that the Council might entertain the annexation of lands specifically for that
purpose. The matter was referred to the next meeting of the Council subcommittee
on Housing.
