The sign is a lighted 48 feet by,-1U feet bllboard'• located on the - east side of I-Iighway 1,01 dust south of the Petaluma Blvd. South entrance into town. At the right-hand side of the sign there will be two .six`°foot' by''-sixteen foot panels inviting travellers to visit Petaluma during upcoming events such as River Festival- August 12, Old Adobe Days-August 13, et cetera. •. Lucchesi Senior Center - There were no applicants for the Lucchesi Senior Center Committee. Staff was directed to ask again for applications. Airport Commission - The following named individuals applied for the Airport Commission: Michael Close (PAPA Representative), Barry Lawrence (Inc.), Walter Mangon, David Traversi (Inc.), arid Felix Weyle. After individual applicants addressed the City Council, the following vote was taken: In response to Mayor Hill'igoss' question whether or not Walter Mangon (owner of the Fixed Base Operation at the Airport), had a conflict. of interest, Assistant City Attorney Richard Rudnansky replied that the Council could appoint him; but, the question is how much ser-vice could a person provide if they have to refrain from making and/or participating in making most, if not all, of the decisions which the Commission must make. The Councilmembers supported the suggestion and indicated they feel the Corona=Ely area as a possible location for this type of subdivision; although, there was some concern about this type of project having a negative impact on the Corona-Ely Financing Plan. It was also suggested that the Council might entertain the annexation of lands specifically for that purpose. The matter was referred to the next meeting of the Council subcommittee on Housing. NEXT 1VIEETING The City Council. decided not to hold a meeting on Monday, July 3. The next Council meetings will be June 26 and July 10.
